The Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is in the path of the Great North American 2024 Total Solar Eclipse.
On January 24, 1925, the airship U.S.S. Los Angeles & 25 Bi-Planes, many made by the Dayton-Wright Company, made the first successful aerial solar eclipse observations in the largest airborne operation since The Great War.
